ABOUT US

IBGB Learning Society is a registered non profitable organization which had its humble beginning on 15th August 2009 with an aim to cultivate academic excellence in Geography and to inculcate the competitive spirit amongst the students with the understanding of the subject.

We are a group of academicians who have come together to build a community that promotes and disseminate knowledge of Geography in India. The society is dedicated to the development and promotion of geographical knowledge among young generations and also to make them understand the environmental challenges which our society is facing.

The society strives to promote Geography by conducting Geo Genius National Geography  Olympiad across India, which is divided into two levels. Level-I is conducted at the school level and the students who clear this stage make it for Level-II.

Now Geography has become an applied science dealing with all the problems related with man’s activity. Geography also involves the study of varied present day topics as conservation, pollution, biodiversity, climatic changes, urban and demographic problems as well as regional development and planning etc. In other words its study is closely linked with many relevant issues of modern life. The IBGB Learning Society’s Geography Olympiad is a commendable effort in this direction.
